ACS Board Elections – Results announced

The elections of the Board members of the Association for Cultural Studies have concluded.

The (re)elected members of the Board for 2022-2026 are:

Chair – Ana Cristina Mendes (Portugal)

Vice Chair – Helene Strauss (South Africa)

Regional representatives:

Africa – Nedine Moonsamy (South Africa)

Asia – Aljosa Puzar (South Korea) and Daren Shi-chi Leung (Hong Kong)

Austalia and New Zealand – Timothy Laurie (Australia)

Europe – Kris Rutten (Belgium) and Matthias Wieser (Austria)

Latin America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean – Luiz Augusto Fernandez Rodrigues (Brazil) and Tomás Peters (Chile)

North America and the English- and French-speaking Caribbean – Gil Rodman (US) and Fan Yang (US)

In addition, the two vice-members of the Board are Denise Tse-Shang Tang (Hong Kong) and Jian Xiao (China).

The term of office for the Board members elected this year will officially begin later in 2022, after the ACS General Assembly online meeting during which the Board will be officially reorganized. We will inform the members about the exact dates and the agenda for the General Assembly as soon as the details are agreed upon by the Executive Committee.
